Product Description
Regency 2-conductor 18-gauge direct-burial irrigation wire, 250 ft roll — UL-listed PVC-jacketed solid copper bundle for controller-to-valve wiring in multi-zone irrigation systems.

Overview
Regency 2-conductor 18 AWG multi-conductor wire is the standard field wire for wiring irrigation controllers to solenoid zone valves. Each conductor is a solid copper core in a colour-coded PVC insulator; all conductors share a single PVC outer jacket rated for direct burial. A single run of 2-conductor wire from the controller cabinet serves up to 1 independent valve zones plus one common return, eliminating the need for multiple separate wire pulls. Typical operating voltage is 24 VAC; conductor resistance at 18 AWG supports valve runs to approximately 500–800 ft before voltage drop requires upgrading to 14 AWG separate conductors.
The jacket is rated for direct burial in soil; no conduit is required, though conduit is recommended where future excavation is likely or in stony/abrasive soils. Conductor colour coding within the bundle follows standard wire conventions — white common, red master valve, and additional colours for zones — simplifying installation and future troubleshooting without a tone generator. Available per foot or on 250 ft roll (this SKU: 250 ft roll); cut to the exact run length required. Use King Innovation Gel-Tite or equivalent gel-filled waterproof connectors at all below-grade splices. Compatible with Hunter, Rain Bird, Toro, and all standard 24 VAC solenoid valves.
