PVC SDR 35 sewer pipe in 4" (OD 4.215", wall 0.120") is manufactured to ASTM D3034 for gravity-flow sewer, storm drain, and subdrainage service. It is not a pressure pipe — its flat-ring stiffness is rated for burial loads, not internal pressure. In a landscape and irrigation context, SDR 35 is commonly used for site drainage, French drain collector lines, catch basin tie-ins, retention pond overflow piping, and non-pressure return lines in recirculating water feature systems.

SDR 35 PVC uses bell-and-spigot gasket joints (ASTM D3212) for quick field assembly without solvent cement, making it suitable for gravity-drainage runs where settlement deflection is anticipated. The smooth internal bore reduces friction loss in high-flow drainage scenarios. While commonly green or white depending on manufacturer, standard colour for drainage PVC varies; do not connect to pressure-rated fittings without confirming the pipe’s pressure rating. Not for potable water or pressurised irrigation service.
